Background
Innovation: Africa (iA) is an Israeli non-profit organization composed of a team of dedicated problem solvers working together to bring solar and water technologies to rural communities in Africa. With a mission to provide sustainable solutions, iA utilizes solar energy to pump clean water and bring light to schools and medical clinics for storing vaccines and medicines. Over the years, iA has successfully completed more than 1,200 solar, water, and agricultural projects, positively impacting the lives of over 5.3 million people in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, South Africa, Uganda, Cameroon, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Job Summary
The Global CFO will oversee all financial aspects of Innovation: Africa, ensuring financial sustainability and strategic growth. This role requires a high level of financial expertise, leadership, and communication skills. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will drive long-term financial strategies, manage financial risks, and ensure the integrity of financial processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall financial management of Innovation: Africa, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Assist in developing long-range strategic plans, including the financial implications of various strategic options
- Establish and maintain policies, controls, and procedures in connection with the organization’s finances
- Manage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting
- Implement and provide training to team members on the technical infrastructure supporting financial management
- Oversee, sign off, and approve all financial accounts
- Serve as the key liaison to the audit and finance committees, as well as to key donors on financial matters
- Supervise the Director of Finance and oversee all local accountants across various locations

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in the humanitarian aid or international development sectors
- Expertise in budgeting, financial forecasting, and strategy development
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Native English level mandatory
- Ability to navigate complex financial environments, working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Qualified CPA mandatory
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a global organization with diverse funding sources
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles in the nonprofit sector
